  1. Why is there a time limit for some of the games?

Each game has a different time limit depending on the pace of the game. We keep time limits so the players keep the game moving.

  1. Why is there a time limit on the games?

There is a time limit on a player’s turn to keep the game moving along. Once each game is started, the clock starts. Once a move is made, the clock restarts and your opponent will be notified that it is their turn. The clock restarts after every move and this goes back and forth until the game finishes or a player lets the clock expire. Players will be sent a 15 minute notification warning reminding them they must move or they will forfeit the game.

Certain games which tend to run longer, the players will be able to determine amongst themselves how long they will have to play their turn.

  1. What happens if the clock expires?

The player who allows the clock to expire during their turn forfeits the match and loses their wager.

  1. Why are some games pending or cancelled?

If you submit a challenge you will be able to make the first move. If the opponent has not yet accepted the match it will be pending, until your opponent accepts and makes their first move. If the opponent has turned down the match or has not accepted the challenge within the game’s specified time frame, the game will end and you will be refunded your money.
